FCC LiFE Group are designed to cultivate community and foster spiritual growth. They serve as an excellent opportunity to build authentic, Christ-centered friendships with people of similar ages and life stages. Through this connection, we spur one another on to BE THE CHURCH seven days a week.

What are LiFE Groups? LiFE Groups are small groups of people from all walks of life (usually 8-12 people) who meet regularly in a safe environment where people can ask honest questions about life, family, and God. LiFE Groups build people up in the Christian faith where they can share life together, build lifelong relationships, and learn to honor and serve God.

What is the purpose of LiFE Groups? To provide an environment that builds people up in the Christian faith where they can share life together, build lifelong relationships, and learn to honor and serve God.

Why should I consider joining a LiFE Group? We believe Life Is Better Together. On a Sunday morning it can sometimes be quite difficult getting to know people. There are so many people and you may see different people every week. LiFE Groups are your opportunity to connect to and get to know a few good friends really well on a consistent basis.

Where and how often do LiFE Groups meet? Most groups meet weekly in a home for 1 to 2 hours. There are some groups that meet in other locations and not weekly. We have found that parents learn better when someone else cares for their children during the meetings. LiFE Groups vary on exactly how they handle this, but if childcare is needed the church can help in some cases. Talk to the LiFE Group leader to see how the group handles this.

What do LiFE Groups do? Each LiFE Group has a slightly different personality such as women only, men only, couples with young children, etc. The things all LiFE Groups have in common are:

Friendships, praying for each other, and Bible learning – to accomplish this, most groups have a discussion of that week’s sermon to help people answer any questions they may have and apply the lesson to their lives.

What about my children? We have found that parents learn better when someone else cares for their children during the meetings. LiFE Groups vary on exactly how they handle this, but if childcare is needed the church can help in some cases. Talk to the LiFE Group leader to see how the group handles this.

Do I have to be a member of Foothills Community Church to join a LiFE Group? Absolutely not! LiFE Groups are for everyone, whether you are an experienced Bible scholar or just checking out this God thing.

How can I get more information about LiFE Groups? Call or email the church office and someone will contact you.

They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts... – Acts 2:42-46
